The client wanted a low maintenance garden he and his dog could enjoy.
When the client met Andrews Landscapes for the first time, he asked us how much our design service will cost. Previous tradesmen that visited wanted to charge him up to £3,000 for detailed garden design plans. At first he didn’t believe us when we told him these services are done professionally and are seen as part of the sale at Andrews. We don’t charge for plans, 3D renders or AI designs.
We worked with this client for over 2-weeks to design the exact shapes he wanted. We advised on how to build patios with shade and helped him secure the very best deal on a pergola.
Before
This garden had a small slope we needed to negate, a very scabby lawn, a shed that needed a new base and fences that needed to be moved to hide the bin storage. The patio and paths were “builders slabs” laid onto clay and were very uneven.

after
To negate the left to right slope and to create a successful small garden, on a budget we needed to use a step up to a top level porcelain patio. Even though the budget was tight, the client did not want to compromise on the final finish and wanted lots of curved shapes to break up the square feel to the existing plot.

Planters were created in a bespoke shape to keep the garden maintenance to a minimum. We created the curves by “planting” the railway sleepers made from stained wood upright in a cement bed.
The fence was taken down and moved backward to allow for more space for bin storage. The client now wants us to add a pergola he has purchased from our suppliers.
This job was scheduled to take place over one week only, but was eventually done in two parts over 3 weeks due to holidays.
